Having taken a look at the manual, it looks like it is more of an app wrapper around HTML+JavaScript that is to be coded in BASIC? B4A supports about every bell and whistle there is in the Android ecosystem, and has an enormous amount of supported modules (components), like MQTT, which I really need for my ESP projects. The down side is that its not open source, but the upside is its not that expensive, and it is really cool 8-)
But, I am open to any viable open source Linux alternative.

There are example inside the application.
