lpr pdf not working

bill-lancaster is in the usergroup ‘Regular’
Have upgraded to Kubuntu 18.04 and now can't print pdf files from the command line.

Code (gambas)

  1. :~$ lpr  test.pdf
  2. lpr: Error - No default destination.
  3.  
Can't think whats wrong so any help would be welcome

cogier is in the usergroup ‘Guru’
Check that you have set the Default Printer.

The man file says "lpr submits files for printing. Files named on the command line are sent to the named printer or the default destination if no destination is specified."
