Initial screen too big ...or is it just me?

It wasn't like it before the enforced upgrade. It could be my OS, as Lubuntu 18.04 is proving to be a real dog …I hate it! But has anyone else got this problem?
I had a quick look inside gambas3.conf but couldn't recognise anything that was likely to adjust it.

Maybe a reinstall of everything will sort it, if that's possible.

If you resize it to your liking then it will open to that size next time you start it.
Grab the top title bar … pull it down and left …. grab the top right corner and resize it to your liking.
Or right click on the title bar and chose resize

I can resize the window, but the project selector image inside the window is not resizeable (at least I don't think it is), so its cut, a bit like Charlie's (sorry mate, your screen/window is not right either). It may vary by window manager/theme/phase-of-the-moon. But I've tried changing 2 out of 3.
On my wife's Peppermint 8 system running Gambas 3.8.4 there is clear space all the way around the Gambas project selector. That's how it was on my laptop …until the upgrade.
As I said, Lubuntu 18.04 has given me big problems on my laptop, so I'm currently installing 18.10 on an old laptop as a try out. I like some features on Peppermint 9 so may give that a go.
Arrrgghh! I hate computers!

Your picture is 1.7MiB. I know we don't worry about these things too much but my picture, which I think is as clear as yours, is 216kb. The saving of disk space is important to me as that is what I pay for to keep the site up. I'm still on the 25GB package and all is well but if you can keep the picture sizes down that helps. It seems that the forums basic settings are on my side.<EMOJI seq="1f601">😁</EMOJI>

Sorry Charlie, most of my screens shots are much smaller than that, but I guess I normally just cut out a window within the full screen.

No problems here on openSUSE Leap 15. Haven't tried to upgrade Gambas my Debian box yet.

Yes, that looks like the proper un-clipped image. I think its an un-sizeable image (although grayghost4 seems to be able to scale his) and I reckon the designer is also using a 1920x1080 screen.

But now you are using the 'Development' version V3.12.90. Was that your intention?
Well I think I compiled the latest Stable version as 18.10 didn't have Gambas in the Repository. Either way its just a try-out on an old laptop…just need to find some time to test 18.10 before deciding between Lubuntu & Peppermint. Initially had a mousepad problem but quickly found a fix for it. Also 18.10 seems a little slow to startup, but otherwise runs at a reasonable pace. Oh, and networking looks a little dodgy.

Mine won't resize like grayghost4. It did while using the 3.11.x series.
