But Ben has added a lot of git features to the ide that could possibly be transferred to a gb.git component for us all.

Currently I think all git stuff is in the ide source under VersionControl

 mmmmmm. Research to date seems to indicate that the IDE use of git is upside down from the way I need to use it. I need to clone a repo to a local working copy and "fetch" updates. The IDE stuff I've found so far is all directed towards committing changes to a repository.
Oh well, will continue to look and read and read and read the git documentation.
