Hi All,
This is mostly for gbWilly and others working on the GambOS project. I'm not sure if it's relevant but I have had another issue with the old iMac I code on and it is specifically a Gambas problem but I never started a new post about it. This iMac would freeze (total freeze as in holding the power button to reboot) sometimes when the properties window pops up while writing code. This iMac has never freezed doing any other thing, it's always while using Gambas. See the attached screenshot….looks like the webview problems I was having doesn't it? This particular screenshot it did not freeze but in the roughly 3 months since I started using this iMac for coding Gambas, it has happened somewhere around 30-40 times and it looks exactly like that. It happened twice this morning and that was officially my limit. I'm not asking for troubleshooting help as I have decided to repurpose the iMac to do something else and use a spare RPI4 I have laying around, just thought if hardware considerations are in mind for GambOS this could be helpful for those that still use old Apples…if not, feel free to move or delete this  :)

For anyone interested, I wiped the iMac and installed Ubuntu 24 hoping for no problems. I installed Gambas of course, 3.19. Created a test project and literally on the first line of code I typed the iMac froze just like I describe in the first post. This iMac just does not like something about any version of Gambas. This iMac may go back to being a glorified picture frame.

I'm not sure if it has a name (the black box in the image, autocomplete is what I call it) but is there preference setting somewhere that I could turn off? I'm poking around in the IDE but I'm not sure what I'm looking for.

I suppose auto complete uses webview to show the online help in autocomplete, and that is why it is black on your iMac as webview was giving trouble, right?

Yeah I know… it's a perfectly fine pc despite its problems with Gambas. I guess I can use it for coding php, python and other stuff.
