I have a desktop and a laptop, both running Linux Mint 20.3. As far as I can see, they are set up the same way. I have checked OS Themes and gambas settings, but there is nothing that stands out as being different.

But there is a difference, does anybody know where I might find a way to correct this?

Some time ago I found it can make a difference using the tiny/small/medium/etc names as opposed to the size value.
explicit size value like Icon://16/save gives the colour icon and icon://small/save gives the rubbish one.

I reported it as a bug but i'm not sure it was fixed.

well there's 3 places.

gambas settings.

Menu  System/Look and feel/Appearance   , Theme/Customise/Icons (gtk settings)

Menu  System/Look and feel/Qt5 settings (install qt5ct if it's not there) then go to icon theme

aah on MATE mate :)

qt5ct in the command line for QT configure

i'm not too sure about GTK icon settings as you haven't said what desktop you are using yet :)

That is what I thought, but there is no visible way to change it.

I don't get what you mean?

On my cinnamon on that page we've both snapshoted if i select a different icon set the desktop icons all change instantly and my gambas app icons change once i close and re-open them.

This is my issue. It is all setup as standard on both computers, but at some time I must have done something to change something in the background. I just don't know what!
