Welcome to Gambas One, Richard!

Do you have another computer not being used, or able to set up a VM (virtual machine)? If yes to either one of these you could try using GambOS.

What OS are you using? Have you already installed Gambas?

Is there any particular project you are wanting to create?

Hi Richard.
I had a look at my antiquated collection of Gambas related tutorials and most are quite outdated now.
There is one called A Beginners Guide To Gambas by a guy called 'John W Rittinghouse' that I used when I first found Gambas in the wild. It was written in 2005(?) so very dated now.
I think he went on to make a commercial book of this but never found one to purchase.
The core stuff(?) is still mainly relevant although the screen-shots are visually way off now.

I found another called Programming Gambas from Zip that seems to be a bit more up to date 2019(ish)
Couldn't find an author name but didn't go through the entire document.

I've attached both for you to have a look at.

Please freel free to ask as many questions as you like. This is a great forum and there are no stupid questions .
The one thing I'd suggest is that when you post a question, you ensure that you list the Linux & Gambas versions you are using.

Gambas has a built-in menu item to list this detail [ ? - System Information] so it's easy to get - Line 1 & 3 highlighted below are really good to know before offing advice on any issue.

It looks like neither upload worked. The upload limit was at 100MB, so I've upped the upload limit to 250MB. This a per-post limit.

[edit: it looks like the pdf itself is embedded into the post. I was expecting a file to download.   ]
[edit 2: I think I'll add these PDF's to the Resource Center. ]
